Cichy wieczór już zapada,
Zgaśnie zorza wnet,
A pod lasem, pod olszowym,
Słychać rżenie het!
Siwy konik tam się pasie,

Jest tam łączka z drobną trawką,
Jest kryniczny zdrój!

Siwy konik rży po łące,
Słychać jego głos,
Leci cicho od olszyny
Polem, pełnem ros,

A miesiączek cicho wstaje,
Lipa sypie kwiat,
