Królewna od złotnika obrączki pożycza,
bo musi dziś wyjść za mąż za królewicza:
sukienkę jej szyją dziewczęta,
bo tamta była pomięta,
pantofelki zdaży jeszcze szewc wyreperować
i na biało prędko pomalować.
"A kto jej włosy złote poupina?"
Święta Agnieszka i święta Krystyna.
"A kto ją zaniesie przez rozstaj omylny?"
Sam święty Krzysztof, bo jest taki silny.
"A kto korony potrzyma przy ślubie?"
Duchy w powietrzu - cherub przy cherubie.

The Princess from a goldsmith is borrowing a ring,
for her wedding today to a handsome Prince:
her maids are busy with a new dress,
for her old one was so badly crumpled;
the cobblers will mend her old slippers in time
and paint them white.
"But who will pin up her golden tresses?"
