Trzmiel i Żuk
Language:
Polish
Czupurzy się, czupurzy
kosmaty trzmiel na róży.
Zobaczył na dnie zielonego, płaskiego żuka:
tupie w płatek nogami, skrzydłem o skrzydło stuka.
A zielony, płaski żuk mówi doń z głębi kielicha:
"Idżże, grubasku, do licha!"

Bumblebee and beetle
Language:
English
Blustering, defiant
a bumble-bee squats on a rose.
He spied down at the bottom a fat green beetle;
he stamped on the petals, rubbing his wings.
But from the depth of the flower the green fat beetle says to him:
"Begone, fatty, go to the Devil!"
