Sang ein Bettlerpärlein am Schenkentor
Zwei geliebte Lippen an meinem Ohr.
»Schenkin, süße Schenkin,
Kredenz dem Paar,
Ihren Dürsten biete die Labung dar.«
Und ich bot sie willig, doch der böse Mann,
Biss mir wund die Lippen, und lachte dann:
»Ritzt der Gast dem Becher ein Zeichen ein,
