Weiß wie Lilien, reine Kerzen,
Sternen gleich, bescheidner Beugung,
Leuchtet aus dem Mittelherzen,
Rot gesäumt, die Glut der Neigung. 

So frühzeitige Narzissen
Blühen reihenweis im Garten.
Mögen wohl die Guten wissen,
Wen sie so spaliert erwarten.
