Leises Lied

Language: German

In einem stillen Garten
An eines Brunens Schacht,
Wie wollt' ich gerne warten
Die lange graue Nacht!

Viel helle Lilien blühen
Um des Brunens Schlund;
Drin schwimmen golden die Sterne,
Drin badet sich der Mond.

Und wie in den Brunnen schimmern
Die lieben Sterne hinein,
Glänzt mir im Herzen immer
Deiner lieben Augen schein.

Die Sterne doch am Himmel,
Die stehen all' so fern;
In deinem stillen Garten
Stünd' ich jetzt so gern.

Chanson douce

Language: French

Dans un jardin silencieux,
Près du puits de la fontaine,
Comme j'aimais volontiers attendre
Tout au long de la nuit blême !

Autour de la source de la fontaine
Fleurissent de nombreux lis ;
Des étoiles d'or y flottent,
La lune s'y baigne.

Tandis que dans la fontaine étincellent
Les chères étoiles,
J'ai toujours au cœur l'éclatant
Reflet de tes yeux chéris.

Pourtant les étoiles au ciel
Sont toutes si lointaines ;
Combien j'aimerais être à présent
Dans ton jardin silencieux.
