In der Nacht

Die Nacht ist lind und weich und voller Güte.
Und Gottes Geist schwebt vor den Sternen hin.
Und alles hat geheimnisvollen Sinn.
Und weit geöffnet steht mir mein Gemüte.
Und wie ein Lächeln geht es durch die Nacht
und durch mein Blut und will mich ganz umfangen.
Ich schwebe in das All auf ohne Bangen,
als reiner Geist dem Geiste dargebracht.
