Kolokol'chik pojot, zamiraja...

Vot uzh zvuk jego plachet chut' slyshno;
Vot i pyl' nad prostorom nemym,
Po shirokoj pustynnoj doroge,
Opuskajas', temneet, kak dym...

No dusha jeshchjo zhdet i toskujet...
O, zachem ty i noch'ju i dnem
Vspominajesh'sja mne tak prizyvno?
Otchego ty vezde i vo vsem?

Vsled zare, ukhodjashchej k zakatu,
Umirajushchim zvukam vosled
Posylaju tebe moju dushu –
