Ei Rjupa ifraa Vidda hev svive til meg inn 
paa sine lette Vengjer og med sit ville Sinn.
Ei Hind fraa höge Heia hev gjort hit ned ein Sving,
so kaut ho kastar Hovde og skodar seg ikring.

So friskleg Kinna blömer, med Augo gjeva Glans,
og i dei Smiledokker der er det Leik og Dans.
Eg ser som gröne Lier og Fjordar, Foss og Fjell
og fagraste blaae Skyer d'er Signe, som alt dette veld.
