The fountain song
Language:
English
Lo, how like silver and like pearls
The fountain flashes high and far,
As if some lovely sprite of air and foam
Were tossing jewels to a star.
Lo, how like moonlit April rain
The fountain sparkles gay and clear,
As if a fairy hand unloosed the sky
In balmy showers falling here.
Lo, how the chiming fairy bells
The tinkling crystal charms the night,
As if the radiant fay were calling us
To love's enchantment, love's delight.
