Der feine, zärtlich helle Lenz,
Der holde Zauber, den ich fand
Auf alten Bildern zu Florenz.

Du lebtest schon einmal vorzeit,
Du wunderschöne Maigestalt,
Als Flora im beblümten Kleid
Hat Botticelli dich gemalt.

Auch bist du jene, deren Gruß
Den jungen Dante übermannt,
