Da sprach der Hirtenknabe
Sein Morgengebet.
Trieb die Schafe dann auf die Weide
Hin durch den sonnigen Raum;
Über die blühende Heide
Träumte sein junger Traum.

Da sprach eine junge Dirne
Ihr Abendgebet.
Und der Wind kam von der Heiden
