Den Frommen schenkts der Herr im Traum,
Weißt nicht, wie dir geschah!
Du kriegst ein Kind und merkst es kaum,
Jungfrau Germania.

Es windet sich ein Bübelein
Von deiner Nabelschnur,
Es wird ein hübscher Schütze sein,
Als wie der Gott Amour.

Trifft einst in höchster Luft den Aar,
Und flög er noch so stolz,
Den doppelköpfigen sogar
Erreicht sein guter Bolz.

Doch nicht wie jener blinde Heid
Nicht wie der Liebesgott,
Soll er sich ohne Hos und Kleid
Zeigen als Sanskülott.

Bei uns zu Land die Witterung,
Moral und Polizei
Gebieten streng, daß alt und jung
Leiblich bekleidet sei.
