Die Welt verstummt, dein Blut erklingt;
    in seinen hellen Abgrund sinkt
            der ferne Tag,

er schaudert nicht; die Glut umschlingt
    das höchste Land, im Meere ringt

sie zaudert nicht; der Flut entspringt
