"Jetzt fährt er durch den Wald."
Die Hütte dort am Wiesenrain
Ist ihres Vaters Haus.
Da steht sie jetzt am Fensterlein
Und lauscht nach mir hinaus.
Trara, trara, mein Hörnlein hell,
Sag' ihr mit süssem Ton:
"Im Waldesgrund am klaren Quell
Harrt dein der Postillon!"
