Wenn alle Nachbarn schlafen gangen.
Und alle Fenster dunkel sind.
Bin ich noch wach mit heißen Wangen,
Das heimatlose Königskind.

Dann schmück ich mich mit Purpurträumen.
Mit Gürtel, Krone und Geschmeid,
