Kam, kam vede ta cesta za dešte hvězdného?
Ó, k Betlému srdce važeho!
Mé dítě, to dí mi jen tušení cit:
jen na krok smět k Betlému se přblížit,
že našel bych u jeho růžových bran květ jeden,
jenž mnou je pěstován...
A kdybych měl celým životem jít
s touhou po ráji, kam vede váš svit,
za tiché blaho, jež toho zdání dal jas,
Betlémské hvězdy, miluji, miluji vás!
