Feierlicher Glockenklang
hallet durch die stillen Felder,
leise rauschen ferne Wälder
einen hehren Lobgesang
Stille wird's mir im Gemüt,
wenn ich blicke in die Weite,
ob ein Engel mir zur Seite
betend durch die Felder geht?
Süßes Grauen mich umweht,
füllt mein Aug' mit Andachtstränen;
meiner Seele stilles Sehnen,
löst sich leise im Gebet.
