Tango vos, el mi pandero
Language:
Spanish
Tango vos, el mi pandero,
tango vos y pienso en al.
Si tu, pandero, supieses
mi dolor y le sintieses,
el sonido que hicieses
seria llorar mi mal.
Cuando taño este instrumento
es con fuerzsa de tormento,
por quitar del pensamiento
la memoria de este mal.
En mi corazon, Señores,
son continos los dolores,
los cantares son clamores:
tango vos y pienso en al.

Pandero
Language:
Russian
Akh, igraj zhe moj pandero, akh igraj!
O ljubvi ja zamechtal, o ljubvi ja zamechtal.
Jesli b znal ty pro terzan'ja,
pro dushevnyje stradan'ja,
serdca tajnyje zhelan'ja,
ty b ikh v zvukakh vyrazhal.
Ja staralsja pet' zvoncheje,
v kastan'jety b'ju sil'neje,
chtob zabyt'sja poskoreje,
chtoby gore zaglushit'.
Ja pljashu smeshno i diko,
chut' ne rvetsja grud' ot krika,
no terzan'je tak veliko,
chto jego ne zaglushit'.1

1 Rubinstein adds at the end a repetition of the first two lines, the first of which has been slightly modified: "Akh! Nu igraj, pandero, gromche, gromche!"
