Sverchok v shcheli treshchit, nevidim.
U ognja sidit moja staraja mat',
Tikhon'ko s rebjonkom mojim grustit.
Sladko-sladko, spokojno dremlet ditja,
I mat' moja tikho molitvu tvorit.
Pust' prezhde vsekh pomozhet gospod'
Vsem dal'nim strannikam, vsem bol'nym,
Pust' posle vsekh pomozhet gospod' tebe,
Moj bednyj izgnannik, moj syn!
Nad mirnym domom strujitsja dym,
Mat' nad synom mojim molitvu tvorit,
Sverchok v shcheli treshchit, nevidim,
Rodimaja iva jedva shelestit.
