i ja na kolenjakh tvojikh
pod zvuki toj pesni dremala.
Ty pela, tomima toskoju;
iz temnykh, zadumchivykh glaz
katilas' sleza za slezoju...
Protjazhno i grustno ty pela...
Ljubila napev ja prostoj,
khot' slov ja ponjat' ne umela...
