Proslavlen vozvratilsja.
Tu vetku posadil
Sam v zemlju on rodnuju
I chasto prinosil
Jei vodu kljuchevuju.
On stal starik sedoj,
I sila mysh propala;
Iz vetki molodoj
Oliva drevom stala.
Pod neju chasto on
Sidit, ujedinennyj,
V nevyrazimyj son
Dushoju pogruzhennyj.
Nad nim, kak drug, stojit,
Obnjav jego sediny,
I vetvjami shumit
Oliva Palestiny;
I, vnemlja jej vo sne,
Vzdykhajet on gluboko
O slavnoj starine
I o zemle dalekoj.
