fliegt eine weisse Möve einsam und klagend einher.
Das ist eine arme Seele, die einsam in irrender Flucht
das Meer und Himmel und Erde nach einer Seele durchsucht;
ich höre die klagenden Rufe, starrend auf's dunkle Meer,
ach, Möve, weisse Möve, mein Herz gleicht dir so sehr!
