Nie kann ohne Wonne
deinen Glanz ich sehn!
Schon in zarter Jugend
sah ich gern nach dir,
und der Trieb der Tugend
glühte mehr in mir!
Doch von dir, o Sonne!
wend' ich meinen Blick
mit noch grössrer Wonne
auf mich selbst zurück!
