Es war ein Herr von Bombardil,
der aß ganz ungewöhnlich viel,
drum ward er täglich dicker.
Jedoch dem Herrn von Bombardil
dies Dickerwerden sehr gefiel:
Er ward mit Freuden dicker.
Einst sprach der Arzt:"Herr Bombardil,
Sie dürfen wirklich nicht mehr viel
noch fürder werden dicker."
Da lachte Herr von Bombardil
und aß nun grad noch mal so viel:
"Ich werde doch noch dicker."
Da platzte Herr von Bombardil.
Und als er in die Grube fiel:
die Maden wurden dicker.
