Andělé radost jměli i archandělé z Krista
narozeného tyto časy nyní,
k tomu všechny říše, že Pána Ježiše našli.
Bud' Bohu chvála od nás jemu dána,
vždycky všichni mu zpívajme a jej kolébajme,
svými dary jeho ukojme.

Ej, ej, ej panna počala i porodila,
všemu světu poslužila,
svého miláčka položila v jesle,
velká zima byla, matka povíjela syna,
její plenky byly sláma z hrachoviny,
volek, oslik na něj dýchali.

Nyní všichni pochvalme a děkujme;
Pána Boha, Spasitele, vykupitele,
Stvořitele ctíme,
že nám milost dána a s nebe poslána,
také skrze jeho syna shlazena jest vina
pokolení přehříšnému.
