Warm atmet der Fels:
schlief wohl zu Mittag das Glück

In grünen Lichtern spielt Glück
noch der braune Abgrund herauf.
Tag meines Lebens!
Gen Abends gehts!
Schon glüht dein Auge halb gebrochen,
schon quillt deines [Taues]2 Tränengeträufel,
[schon]3 läuft still über weiße Meere
deine Liebe Purpur,
deine letzte zögernde Seeligkeit.
